Audioburst and Harman have been working together to enrich Harman’s automotive user experience with Audioburst’s on-demand audio content.

As a result of the two companies working together, Harman automotive users will get to experience truly personalized and real-time audio from Audioburst’s colossal audio content library in a variety of ways through Harman’s Ignite platform.

How will this work for Harman users?

First, users will now be able to browse and explore top radio station and podcast channels by trending topics, title, and categories via the Audioburst playlist and search engine. Audioburst will be included as a personalized audio source to provide easy access to our top feeds and trending topics.

In addition, we are introducing a new personalized Commute Channel on Harman automotive devices, created on-demand for each listener (whether you are the driver or a passenger), based on your listening identity and current driving situation. Your listening identity is developed from your topics of interest, preferences, preferred shows, favorite stations and podcast channels, as well as previous listening patterns, so it’s always learning and improving.

Why is this significant?

As leading innovators in audio technology, Audioburst and Harman are very excited to be working together to bring our users the best, most comprehensive, and personalized listening experience.

This leverages Audioburst’s API to access the world’s largest library of audio content, built by Audioburst with an innovative AI technology that listens to, segments, and indexes millions of minutes of audio a day in real-time. This library collects content from radio, podcasts, and other recorded audio and gives in context so it’s searchable and customizable to the listener’s interests. Audioburst’s API allows partners to integrate our content library and contextual search for audio content into their own apps and web experiences. It’s another way for companies to provide added value to consumers with relevant content, and extend user engagement with their apps with rich information.

By integrating Audioburst’s content into the global network of connected car systems available from Harman, this is a key step towards bringing personalized and on-demand audio to users wherever they are, starting with their in-car infotainment system.
